Those of you who follow me on Instagram will know that I haven't been cooking at all recently... There's a number of reasons for this, but namely that I've been on holiday and have moved back to my Mum's house (and B&B) in Arundel for a bit...

It's been a while since I started a blog post with a whinge, so if you're not interested in that and just want to read about pie then I suggest you skip the next few paragraphs.
I am in a foul mood, for lots of reasons which I shan't bore you with, but needless to say I am not exactly a joy to be around at the moment. Also, I've lost my new Raybans, something which I am INCANDESCENT with rage about. I can't even be arsed to cook, which actually, might be a part of the problem as it is something I find incredibly therapeutic, it does mean I've eaten out a lot recently so expect an influx of review posts over the coming weeks.
One of the many things that I'm really grateful for, and this week in particular, is that no one can hear my (almost constant) internal monologue. You know, that little voice inside which says the things which you wish you could say out loud but propriety and common sense just won't allow it? I'm certain that if anyone (even a lot of my nearest and dearest) could hear a tiny proportion of my inner ramblings, it would be impossible for me to hold down a job or a friendship/relationship, not to mention not getting locked up!

If I read one more blogpost/Facebook/Tweet saying something along the lines of 'OMG summer's like, totally here to stay guys" I won't be responsible for my actions (loads gun). STOP TALKING ABOUT IT, YOU'RE TEMPTING FATE, JUST ENJOY IT WHILE IT LASTS. As for the people who are actually stupid enough to complain about the weather... (fires gun).
I absolutely LOVE BBQ's for some unknown reason we never had one at either of my parent's houses when I was growing up, my Mum just couldn't be arsed and I have a sneaking suspicion that my Dad thinks they're 'common' (don't ask) so I've spent the latter part of my life making up for the dearth of charcoaly goodness during my upbringing.
I came across this recipe through a Facebook group called 'Food Club' which I belong to. I've only ever met one of the people in it (Mr P&P's sister) but they all seem very nice and post some cracking meal ideas- so Barry, if you're reading this, thanks again for this little gem!
I followed the recipe pretty much verbatim but have detailed some of basic steps below too. FYI I'm unapologetic about the fact there's no 'action shots' of me stuffing the squid- it was not pretty).
